I am a BIG fan of all the workers fighting to unionize, fighting for better conditions and pay, striking, and standing in solidarity this summer.

WGA, and as of this afternoon SAG-AFTRA, are getting attention (great!) but they are far from the only ones.
But also just to note on scabbing - it may be easy to think "I won't go get a job at a striking Starbucks" or "I won't start a job at UPS" - please note in the age of "creators" and "influencers" we are going to need to be wary of things like writing competitions to get your script made into a movie and invitations to cosplay at a movie premiere.
Be wary of underhanded ways for the industries with striking workers to try and get you to cross a picket line and scab.
This doesn't mean you can't go see movies that are coming out or go to conventions, in fact, the Unions are encouraging this! But don't accept PAID work to advertise or create content for tv & film during these strikes.
